new tool build review Airfix Typhoon IB ( 5) - finished







 New tool Airfix Typhoon. Finished in the markings of Sqd. Ldr Basil 'Gerald' Stapme DFC of 247 Squadron (no. 124 Wing) Eindhoven, December 1944.


Shame about the post-shading, just a tad on the heavy-handed side and a little too dark for my usual mix. Note the off-set tail-wheel and the electrical connectors added to the rockets from fuse wire.

    Great looking Typhoon. I like the off-set tail-wheel and those electrical connectors - I can really appreciate tiny details like that :)
